HOW TO CREATE A DOUBLE CROCHET STITCH

I've been crocheting for almost 8 years and enjoy making newborn hats as well as toddler hats especially in the winter months.

Let's get to today's tutorial!


1) First step is to create a slip knot.
If you are new to crochet here is how to create a slip knot.
This is how you start any crochet project.

 2) Second step is to create a chain stitch
Here is an example on how to create a chain stitch

Once you've created your chain you're ready to start your double crochet stitch.
